AI vision system: the eyes behind every platform

Vision models trained for bin-picking, defect detection and canopy mapping give every Orion platform the eyes to work without a fixed script.

AI vision system

Vision models trained for the job in front of them

A fixed script breaks the moment a part lands upside down or a crop ripens unevenly. Our vision system is trained per task and per camera, so the robot recognises what it's looking at instead of assuming it already knows.

  • Bin-picking & defect detection. Vision-guided grippers find and grip parts from unsorted bins, and flag the ones that don't meet spec before they reach the next station.
  • Canopy & crop mapping. The same vision stack that guides a pick arm also reads canopy health and soil hydration in the field.
  • Edge inference. Decisions are made on the robot itself, not round-tripped to the cloud — so vision keeps working even where Super Wi-Fi is the only link out.

From camera to command dashboard

Every anomaly the vision system catches, a human sees

Vision output doesn't stop at the robot. Flagged defects, thermal anomalies and canopy-health readings all surface on the Joint Inspection Center dashboard, alongside the Smart Edge Alarms already watching the rest of the fleet — so a vision catch is a supervised decision, not a silent one.
